Peri balm (50g)
Having decided to take a proactive approach towards minimising the risk of perineal tearing, or an episiotomy during labour, women wanted an alternative medium to oil for perineal massage and so this balm has been developed. Perineal massage should commence in the last 6-8 weeks of pregnancy to stretch and condition the perineum in preparation for childbirth. Massage reduces the chances of painful second degree tearing or episiotomy. It also encourages you to grow familiar with the sensations associated with childbirth (eg baby’s head crowning).
Directions: When the balm makes contact with the skin it instantly melts to form an easy-to-apply lubricant. Massage perineum for 5 minutes daily during the third trimester. Dispense with applicator provided. You should also consult your local midwife and/or obstetrician. Store in a cool, dry place. Keep out of reach of children.
Natural Ingredients: Beeswax, apricot kernel oil, jojoba oil, calendula infused oil, vitamin E, pure essential oils of true lavender and geranium
